When I first heard that people were protesting at Scientology properties again, I got excited and started thinking about how I could join them. I started watching their youtube videos to see what they were up to. It started to dawn on me that these people were not doing what I would call protesting. They were at Scientology properties, but most of them seemed to be more concerned about seeing what Scientology was up to rather than trying to reach the public about Scientology's bad behavior. I saw also that they refer to what they are doing as "auditing" rather than protesting. I believe this comes from the guy in Los Angeles credited with starting the new protests, who was originally doing cop-watch to make sure the police did not violate their rules.
So I watched dozens of hours of their livestreaming and Youtube videos to see if I would be comfortable protesting with them. I kept hoping that I could fit in, but in the end decided that "auditing" was not for me.

Below is a summary of what I gleaned of the philosophy of the 2024 “auditing” of Scientology, based on watching several hours of videos.
* Goal – keep eyes on what Scientology is doing. Educate the public if they happen to come up to you to ask a question.
* There's no need to learn about protesting from history or those with experience.
* Video everything. Make money on Youtube from your videos if possible.
* Do not do anything as a group. Individual initiative that sometimes coincides with others is fine. This is so you cannot be accused of being a gang or group by Scientology or the police.
* Assume the police are bad actors in league with Scientology. Treat them accordingly.
* Communicate with Scientologists by chalking the sidewalk and yelling at them.
* Ignore personal space and etiquette when dealing with Scientologists or the police.
* If you have a problem with a fellow auditor, don't take it up with that person in private - put it on youtube for the whole world to see why you are butt hurt.
